Terms of Service

These Terms apply to the Puls news discovery websites (pulsmedia.online and its market subdomains) and mobile applications operated by Digital Systems LLC ("Puls", "we", "us"). They apply across our localized editions unless an edition displays additional local terms. Contact us at hello@digitalsystems.dev. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data.

1. What Puls does

Puls is a news discovery and aggregation service. It indexes information made available through publishers' public RSS feeds. Puls organizes stories from multiple outlets by market, topic, recency, and relevance. Cards show a headline, a short preview/summary where available, a thumbnail image, the publisher's name and icon, publication time, and a link; the underlying image is fetched and resized by our own servers rather than loaded directly from the publisher, and the publisher icon is likewise stored on our own infrastructure. Puls does not reproduce full articles. To read a complete article, you visit the originating publisher's website via the link shown, at which point normal browser/device request information is sent to that publisher.

The originating publisher is identified on the card where reasonably possible. A link to a publisher is an external link; that publisher controls its article and its website. Puls does not endorse, verify, or assume responsibility for every third-party story. Publication times, availability, categorizations, and links can change or be inaccurate. Weather shown in the site's navigation bar reflects a small set of fixed cities per edition, sourced from Open-Meteo, and is not personalized to your location.

2. Publisher material and rights

Publishers and other rightsholders retain their rights in their articles, headlines where protected, photographs, trademarks, and other materials. Inclusion in an RSS feed does not, by itself, mean that all material may be reused without restriction. Puls does not claim ownership of third-party material or grant users a license to republish it.

For EU press publications, Article 15 of Directive (EU) 2019/790 protects certain online uses by information society services, while excluding acts of hyperlinking and the use of individual words or very short extracts from that specific press-publisher right. Other rights, including rights in photographs and other incorporated works, remain relevant. Puls assesses its uses in light of applicable law, source terms, permissions, and the rights of publishers and creators. These Terms do not assert that an RSS feed, attribution, or a link alone authorizes every use.

Puls may remove, change, or limit a preview, image, source, or link to address a rights concern, source request, technical restriction, or legal obligation. Publishers and rightsholders can contact hello@digitalsystems.dev with the relevant URL, the material at issue, their relationship to it, and the action requested. We will review the request and may ask for information needed to verify it. This process does not limit any legal rights or remedies.

3. Using the service

Puls does not require an account to browse the website or mobile apps. The mobile apps let you save (bookmark) articles and set preferences, which are kept on your device and synced to our servers using an anonymous, device-generated identifier so they persist across sessions and reinstalls, as described in the Privacy Policy.

You may browse Puls for personal or business information purposes, subject to these Terms. You may share links to Puls pages and to original publishers. You must not use Puls to interfere with its operation, bypass access controls, impersonate another person or publisher, or systematically copy or redistribute Puls's compiled listings in a way that infringes applicable rights. Automated access requires our prior written permission, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Puls's name, branding, original interface, software, and original editorial or organizational elements belong to Puls or its licensors, subject to applicable law. No ownership rights transfer to you by using the service.

4. External sites and advertising

When you open an original story, you leave Puls and the publisher's terms and privacy practices apply. Puls displays advertising: Google AdSense on the website, and Google AdMob (banner, native, interstitial, and app-open ad formats) in the mobile apps. We will identify paid placements where required by applicable law. Advertisers and Google are responsible for their own ad content and targeting. Puls does not currently offer in-app purchases or paid subscriptions; if introduced, their price and applicable terms will be shown before purchase.

5. Availability and changes

We may update, suspend, or discontinue features, sources, markets, or the service where reasonably necessary. We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the service or the law. The updated version will show a new effective date. Where required, we will give additional notice. Continuing to use Puls after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms to the extent permitted by law; if you do not agree, stop using the service.

6. Information and liability

Puls helps you discover reporting; it is not the originating publisher and does not guarantee that third-party information is accurate, complete, current, or suitable for a particular decision. Confirm important facts with the original source. Puls is provided with reasonable care, subject to rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Puls is not liable for losses caused by third-party content or websites, temporary service interruptions, or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits mandatory consumer rights.

7. Law, disputes, and contact

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections in their place of residence. Courts and dispute procedures are determined by applicable law; this clause does not remove a consumer's right to bring a claim in a court available under mandatory law.
